We are ready for this year's Buddy Walk, are you? We have participated in the Down Syndrome Indiana Buddy Walk since 2009, when Sophia was only 4 months old. It has become a tradition for some of our closest family and friends to come together to celebrate the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, like our Sophia. We are joining forces again this year to walk as Team Sophia's Stars on Saturday, October 8th for the 14th edition of the Buddy Walk at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis. The day is filled with numerous activites before the walk, then the walk itself at noon and followed by a free lunch and concert. We are so excited to be walking again this year with amazing people supporting us! Thank you to everyone who has helped support Sophia's fundraising efforts, we reached our goal because of you!!! And for those of you who haven't, and would like to donate, you can go HERE and make a donation to Down Syndrome Indiana in Sophia's name. No amount is too small and all donations are greatly appreciated!
The 2011 Buddy Walk:
9 am - 12 am: Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the diversity tent; catch live performances on stage by individuals with Down syndrome; visit the kids' activity area; gather resources and information in the Info Tent and check out the silent auction at the Merchandise Tent.
12 pm: Walk Time Baby!
1pm: FREE lunch and FREE concert. Enjoy lunch after the walk, then experience a free concert by Chris Burke, Joe Demasi and John Demasi!!!
